I Probably Shouldn't Be Doing This
Miss B and I are headed to Maine this evening to see my folks and frolic with fiber at the Fiber Frolic. Many obstacles lie between now and then, not least among them the end-of-season kids-versus-parents humiliation soccer game. Since there's no way I can write effectively in such a state of chaos and high anticipation, I post this for the several people who've asked me how Ed is doing.
He's fine.
(No, I did not alter this picture in any way. No, he didn't make it onto the counter, nor do I remember what he was after. Yes, we gave him A for effort.)

Oh Lucia! I could follow my cats around for weeks and not get a funnier picture. Talk about being in the right place at the right time...

Miss B. and I have racked our memories and we are fairly sure what he was after was . . .
(wait for it)
acorn squash rinds. That's right. You couldn't make something like that up.
(I do them - the squashes, not the rinds - with a mixture of brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander. Apparently this is the cat's meow.)

Hee hee hee! :-) Silly kitty.
Go, go, parents! Surely you've all learned something from watching those young whippersnappers from the sidelines all season long... ;-)
Please frolic as much as you can this weekend. Do it for those of us who have to work instead. ;-)

My 85 pound dog just walks over to the counter and takes what he wants. Not and funny, and he's gotten good licks on backed chicken!

I hope everyone survived the game. ;^)
Gotta love a kitty who is willing to try.

What a guy!! Since my Perry is orange and I've always been impressed by her determination this makes me really believe it's a gene in the color!
Hope you have great weather and lots of fun at the fiber frolic :)

Proof how very important it is to keep your camera about your person at all times! ;)
Fantastic picture - glad he's getting into things. And have fun fibering (looking forward to hearing about the "game" - can you call it a game when one team will so clearly be trounced?)

Blessings on old Ed! What a trooper. I hoe someone finally let him at least lick a few squash rinds.
Frolic with mad abandon. God knows you are entitled!

Hi Lucia!
It was great to meet you yesterday at the Frolic! I hope you had a safe trip back. I love this pic of your cat (and I thought my cat Honey was persistent)!
