Munched
Spring finally arrived in our yard last week, in the form of three clumps of lovely purple crocuses.
Make that one clump.
At least the little blue things are coming up all over the place. (I used to know their real name. Star of Holland? Something like that.) Do deer like little blue things?
I sure hope not.

Um, squill?
We have deer and rabbits both that think flowers are appetizers.

Oh, frack. And me with deer poop in my backyard. I never had to deal with this before and thought I was oh, so lucky. Well, that era is over.

Oh deer! I have heard that deer won't eat daffodills, by the way, but they adore tulips and roses.

I have never known the name of the pretty little blue flower, but always just called it a bluebell or a forget-me-not. :-) Julie's right, though--I googled "scilla" and there it was! Now I know what to look for--I want to plant a TON of it this fall. :-)

The little blue things that come up early in our yard (but not yet!) are Scilla (I am pretty sure anyhow). Ah, Julie got it... guess I should read the comments before posting one, eh?
