i love when random wild things pretend not to notice i'm human and land on me. in the field last week a butterfly landed on me (i think it liked the taste of my sweat on my soaked shirt, which is gross, but i digress) and stayed for a good five minutes, even though i was pushing through close-grown alders. it finally took off, and tried to land on my shoe, but i guess that didn't taste as good.
